Our Youth size Allagash Hand and Foot Warmers are made from wild harvested Maine beaver fur and crafted and sheared by hand by Maine Wild Harvest Co. These are hand sheared, different from our competitors, which means the abrasive guard hairs have been removed and your left with the dense, velvety-soft underfur, sheared to an ideal height for more warmth and coziness.
They will drastically increase the warmth of your children’s mittens, gloves, boots and pockets. Insert them fur side against their skin, on either side of their hand or foot, and let the amazement begin. They will insulate your children’s body heat, keeping their hands/feet comfortably warm, but not too hot, so you don’t ever have to worry about your child’s skin being burned. Unlike single-use or battery operated warmers, they will never run out of warmth either. They can be enjoyed year after year. Our Hand Warmers are naturally biodegradable, and hypoallergenic.
These are approximately 2 1/2” x 3 1/2" and smaller than our standard Allagash Hand/Foot Warmer size. They are sized specifically for youth ages 1-10. Sized smaller and also a little thinner than our standard size, they will fit your children’s mittens or boots better than our standard version. Sold as a pair. Since these are all natural, variation in color and density from pair to pair is normal. They can be trimmed smaller if needed.
Material: Sheared beaver fur is a dense, velvety-soft underfur, sheared to an ideal height for warmth and coziness. Our Allagash Hand/Foot Warmers are crafted from prime winter beaver fur, that has been sustainably and ethically harvested. It is odor resistant and breathable. It can have 10,000 fur fibers per square inch enabling it to have excellent insulation properties. These properties allow beavers to stay warm during the long cold Northern Maine winters.
Product care: From time to time, take your Allagash Hand and Foot Warmers out of your gloves, mittens, boots and pockets to air out, lying flat. Give them a shake to fluff up as needed. Avoid getting wet, but if the fur becomes damp or wet, shake out the moisture, and air dry on a flat surface. It is recommended to avoid contact with direct heat and creams/moisturizers.
