L/XL GARMENT TANNED WILD HARVESTED MAINE MARTEN (SABLE) PELTS
These are L/XL wild Maine pine marten (sable) pelts. They were sustainably and ethically harvested by Brian and Cassie in Northern Maine in December. The pelts are heavy furred, prime pelts. They are harvested late during Maine’s trapping season, when pelts are at their best and most prime condition. They have been professionally handled and then garment tanned by Moyle & Mink Tannery in Idaho.
The fur is very soft, beautiful, and luxurious. They would be extremely good pelts for any garment that you are making or having made. They would also be excellent pelts for wall displays. They are not suited for taxidermy and do not have the feet on the pelts. They each are uniquely different. No two pelts are alike. Colorations and size are similar, but vary from pelt to pelt. It is possible for some pelts to have small holes, that would not effect their use or display. If there are any, most would not be noticed. Approximate size is 26”-28” from nose to tip of tail.
We put in a lot of work each year to harvest the best pelts possible and handle them with care. They truly are stunning. So much so, that it is hard to see them leave with each order, instead of being made into one of our own garments.
If you are purchasing multiple pelts for a garment, and would like the pelts color matched… please mention that in the comments with your order, and we can do our best to pick similar pelts.
Feel free to message us with any questions before ordering. Returns are not accepted on pelts. Cancellations are allowed before the order ships.
